Voting has opened today, November 10, 2025 at 9am, on the tentative agreement.
You should have received a link to the electronic voting system in your email this morning. If you have not, contact the NSGEU Labour Resource Centre to make sure that you have “signed your union membership card” [it is actually a virtual card], and that your contact information is up to date.
Voting will be open from Monday, November 10 9am to Friday, November 14 noon 12pm. You can vote either using the link to the e-vote system in your email, or using the phone number in the same email.
The bargaining team is recommending acceptance. This is a secret ballot.
A link to the already sent version of the summary of changes is included with the voting instructions, but you can take into account the corrections, clarifications, and answers presented in the verbal update at the Nov 6 meeting.
Ratification requires 51% of signed members to vote in favour. (ie It is not 50%+1 of people who vote, and those who are covered by the contract but have not signed onto the Union can not vote.) This means that it is important that you do vote because abstain is a vote against.
